Katy Perry has declared her unconditional love for boyfriend Justin Trudeau.
The “Teenage Dream” singer spoke passionately about the former Canadian prime minister during a Q&A session following the premiere of her new concert film, The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris, on Monday, June 8, at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York City.
Earlier in the evening, Mr. Perry, 41, and Mr. Trudeau, 54, made their red carpet debut as a couple at a special screening.
“Every day is an incredible journey, and every day is an opportunity to evolve, to become a better person, to do the right thing, to be an example to your community, your family, and the world,” Perry said during Monday’s post-screening Q&A, reflecting on his 2025 global LifeTimes tour.
“After 91 shows, I feel like I’m a more grounded person in many aspects of my life. I love it so much,” she continued.
“Actually, that show was after I met the love of my life, so I was very relieved by that,” Perry added of the November 2025 tour dates in Paris that were filmed for the concert film. “I’m a bit like a rainbow kite. I fly really high. Sometimes I need to be anchored, so I’ve got that anchor and now I feel really energized.”

During Monday’s Q&A, the “Roar” singer also reflected on the tough year of 2025, which saw her break up with longtime partner Orlando Bloom and break up with daughter Daisy Dove, 5.
“Last year was probably one of the most difficult years of my life and I went through a lot,” she candidly revealed. “And there were some really, really, really tough days. And I just kept going because I made a promise to my fans, I made a promise to my daughter, I made a promise to myself. And I got through it. I walked through fire, because everyone has to walk through their own fire. And if you’re walking through hell, you keep going, because the other side of hell is definitely heaven.”
After the tour, Perry said, “I’m different now,” explaining, “Your 20s are about enjoying your emotions, your 30s are about sorting out your emotions, and your 40s are about not caring about them.”
“We are all human beings here. Grief does not discriminate, grief does not discriminate, pain does not discriminate… everyone is exposed to it in their own way,” she added.
Perry and Bloom, 49, confirmed they were ending their relationship in July 2025.
“Orlando and Katy have transitioned their relationship in recent months to focus on co-parenting,” reps for the couple said in a joint statement to Us Weekly at the time. “They will continue to be seen as a family, as their shared priorities are and will be to raise their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”
Prime Minister Trudeau announced his separation from his estranged wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, in August 2023.
