An Ohio woman has been arrested on suspicion of breaking into her ex-husband’s home while he was sleeping and firing two shots at him.
Amanda Heller was booked into the Northwest Ohio Correctional Center on April 26 for allegedly breaking into her ex-husband’s home.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Bryan Municipal Court and reviewed by the Bureau of Law and Criminal Investigation, Heller, 31, allegedly entered the victim’s home while she was sleeping. After entering the home, she allegedly threatened to kill her ex-husband and “fired two shots from a handgun while inside the home.”
The victim’s name has not been released, but WTOL reported that the homeowner was identified as Heller’s ex-husband.

The criminal complaint states Heller fired the gun twice at the man’s home. However, no one was injured, and no one else appeared to be in the home at the time of the shooting.
Heller was taken into custody on May 21, nearly a month after he broke into the home and opened fire. Heller was initially charged with aggravated assault, but after the case went to Williams County Civil Court, he was charged with attempted aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, domestic violence, and unlawful discharge of a weapon in or into a residence or school.
Her bond is set at $100,000, according to online records viewed by Us Weekly. She remains in custody as of this article’s publication.
If Heller posts bail and is released from custody, she will not be allowed any contact with her ex-husband.
Heller is next scheduled to appear in court on the charges on June 22.
No further details were released about Heller’s relationship with the victim, including how long they dated, when they divorced, and whether he had a motive for breaking into her home.
Christopher Brayton, a Missouri man, was recently arrested on suspicion of breaking into the home he shared with his ex-girlfriend, climbing onto her bed and assaulting her, police said. It was not immediately clear whether Heller entered a plea or hired an attorney after his arrest. The Bryan Police Department did not immediately respond to US Weekly’s request for comment on the incident.
