Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey’s potential wedding venue has been the talk of the town, but recent activity at the pop star’s mansion suggests it may be headed back to Rhode Island.
On Wednesday, June 17, a security guard was spotted outside Swift’s $18 million mansion in Rhode Island, TMZ reported.
According to the paper, a security guard was seen in the driveway of the home as “an SUV with an open gate and tinted windows” left the property. The publication claimed that armed guards “standed by the gate” until it was closed.
There were also reports that “two armed guards with giant binoculars” were monitoring the beach area outside Swift’s mansion, the newspaper said.
The disturbance at Swift’s home reportedly began around 8pm on Wednesday, with a witness telling TMZ that “I could see lights on all over the pad.”
Sources previously told Us Weekly that Swift and Kelsey, both 36, are planning to tie the knot this summer, so it’s unclear whether the security guard sighting in Rhode Island has anything to do with wedding planning or a wedding-related event like a bachelorette party.
Some fans are betting on the latter, as video footage released by TMZ on Wednesday night also shows four unidentified women on the rooftop balcony of Swift’s mansion.
In the TikTok clip, three women were seen wearing black robes. The fourth woman was blonde and dressed in white, hinting at a possible bachelorette party for the bride.
In another video, a redhead, believed to be Swift’s childhood best friend Abigail Anderson Bellard, is seen on a patio overlooking the home’s gorgeous grounds.
The woman was holding a small child, who some fans believe may be Berard’s almost 2-year-old son, Bennett.
Us Weekly has reached out to Swift’s representatives for comment.

After the two got engaged in August 2025, rumors began to circulate about the date and venue of their long-awaited wedding.
“They’re both in it together and making decisions together,” a source exclusively told Us in April, adding that as the big day approaches, the couple is “focused on actually enjoying the process rather than getting wrapped up in the pressure.” “They keep things light.”
Sources said at the time that Swift and Kelsey’s wedding would likely be split between Swift’s Rhode Island mansion and the nearby five-star oceanfront resort Ocean House.
“As the guest list has grown, the ceremonies and private gatherings associated with the wedding will be split[between venues],” another source shared, noting that Swift may still have other locations in mind.
While many still believe the wedding will take place in Rhode Island, reports surfaced earlier this month that the couple “might be wed” at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
Multiple media outlets reported in June that Swift and Kelsea were considering a July 3 wedding in the Big Apple, but the couple has not addressed the speculation publicly.
